Elevate Content Ideas with Hands-Free Possibilities – Meta Ray Bans + DJI Mini 4 Pro

This morning, just after sunrise, I stood in a driveway flying a drone while wearing Meta Smart Glasses.

Yes, I know how that sounds.

There I was: holding a drone controller, giving Meta voice commands to snap mid-flight photos, scanning my controller through tinted lenses like some wacko sci-fi/tech hobbyist. I looked… not exactly normal. And trust me, I didn’t exactly FEEL normal either.

When I stepped into the backyard, which borders the woods, a fox wandered out and crossed my path. Yes, a real freaking fox, and it paused. Looked me dead in the eye. And at that moment, we just stared at each other. Me, decked out in smart glasses, flying a drone, quietly giving voice commands. And the fox…clearly trying to make sense of what it was seeing.

The fox wasn’t the only one. The drone work and additional video footage was for a fencing company client, and as their crew worked, I caught a few side glances. Those felt like the same look the fox had given me. Like they weren’t sure if I was brilliant or bizarre. Was I onto something, or just plain odd?

Fair questions.

But here’s the answer:

I’m trying to stay sharp in a world that changes fast. And sometimes, that means looking a little ridiculous at 7 AM.

That’s the work. That’s the job.

As a CEO in a tech-adjacent space, I can’t afford to sit back and wait for polished case studies. If I want my team to be bold, I must go first. I don’t get to hide behind my CEO title and wait for good things to happen for the business. Instead, that means muddling through voice commands to my new Meta glasses and trying not to crash the drone. Despite the looks.

Because that’s how you stay fresh. By getting your hands on what’s next before it’s obvious.

Was the morning as efficient as it could be? Not at all.

Was it valuable? Absolutely.

These tools aren’t just novelties. They’re early signals…of how we might work, market, collaborate, even see the world differently. When I wear smart glasses, I’m not just playing with fancy tech gadgets. I’m asking: What could this unlock for my team? Our clients? And the marketing industry in this new AI era?

And yes, sometimes I get strange looks. From wildlife. From workers. From myself, if I catch my reflection. But if I only did things that felt comfortable, I’d be limiting the exact growth I expect from the team around me.

So tomorrow? I’ll be back (Terminator style)! Testing. Tinkering. Talking to the invisible Meta AI assistant in these cutting-edge glasses. Not because it’s perfect, but because the future is built by people willing to look a little weird first.

Staying relevant isn’t a luxury. It’s leadership.

And yes, the glasses stayed on the whole time. I even feel like I totally nailed the look!
